Planner for year 2025-26

1. Celeberation of Van Mahotsava on 9-7-25- DPSE students participate in celeberation of van Mahotsava. Students dramatize and sing a song. They take pledge for planting trees in their surroundings.


    
2. Hawan -yajna is the cultivation of inner purity, selflessness, and spiritual liberation. While often associated with external fire rituals and seeking specific rewards, its highest purpose is to align the individual consciousness with the cosmic order for the welfare of all beings.


  
3. Fresher’s to welcome new students-Institute organize fresher’s party every year. The main aim of this party is to give an affectionate welcome to new students. Such parties instil confidence in students and enhance their creativity. It is accompanied by so many exciting events and programs like ramp walk, traditional, fusion, and modern dances, breathtaking singing performances, and splendid decoration, thus making it a soulful experience.

4. Yoga Activity- Yoga is a daily activity for students. It offers holistic benefits for mind and body, including reduced stress, improved flexibility and balance, increased muscle strength, and better respiratory health. Mentally, yoga enhances focus, improves sleep, promotes emotional well-being, and can help manage symptoms of anxiety and depression. Physically, it supports heart health, aids in pain management, and can help regulate blood sugar levels and improve posture.


 
5. Rakhi making and Henna Application activity- An activity featuring rakhi making and henna application provides a creative and traditional experience focused on the Raksha Bandhan festival. Participants get to express their artistic skills by creating personalized bracelets and adorning their hands with temporary, intricate designs with Henna. Students presents handmade rakhis, the sacred thread tied by a sister to her brother's wrist. 

   
6. Independence day celebrations on 15 August 25- Independence Day have been held all around the nation. In honour of the great bravery and sacrifice made by the leaders and freedom fighters who influenced India's war for independence. Principal Ms. Anuja Sharma unfurl flag and take guard of honour. Many Patriotic songs and dances was presened by students.


       
7. Celeberation of Janam Ashatmi on 14 August 25- Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated, the birth of the Hindu deity Lord Krishna on 14 August. students  dressing as Krishna , Radha and Gopia performs dances.Principal ma Ms. Anuja Sharma reflect on his teachings of love, wisdom, and truth.

  
  
8. A candle making workshop- It offers a hands-on, educational experience where participants learn to craft their own unique candles. Workshops typically cover safety, wax types (like soy), wicking, scent and color selection.


                  
9. Poem recitation competition on 23 August- It is the art of performing a poem aloud to an audience, focusing on conveying the poet's intended meaning, emotions, and imagery through vocal expression, tone, and rhythm. Recitation builds confidence, enhances public speaking skills, and serves as a medium to appreciate and understand literature. Many poems are recited by students with props.


 
10. Art workshop by pidilite on 25 august-An art workshop was held by pidilite. Resource  person Ms. Amanpreet Kaur gave demonstration on  new techniques, to  develop creative skills in a specific medium like painting, pottery, or digital art. Workshops offer immersive, guided experiences that combine instruction with practical exercises, allowing participants to experiment, receive feedback from instructors and peers, and gain confidence by taking pride in their work. Workshop help in self-discovery, skill-building, and creative expression in students. 

11.Lecture by Gurpreet Kaur- A lecturer was taken by madam Gurpreet Kaur on brain Anatomy and Plasticity. Students get information about the structure and functions of brain and plasticity.


    
12. Teaching Practice workshops 12 Sep to 16Sep- Teaching practice workshops were taken by Ms. Shikha Rishi, Ms. Shalini, Ms. Anjuli, Ms. Sheffali Nayar. Demonstartion were given by these teachers on story telling, Poem Recitation, Phonetics and phonoics, Numbers, Alphabets.


 
14. Celeberation of Dussehra on 29sept 25-This grand festival, symbolising the victory of good over evil, takes us on a fascinating mythological journey through traditional folk theatre performances. Students do play on Ashoka war with Kalinga means, how King Ashoka’s Anger and Ego repress with war with Kalinga and that leads him towards path of peace and Ahimsa. That’s why his symbols as Ashoka Chakra still in our National Flag.

15. Rangoli Competition on 3oct 25- A rangoli competition is a cultural event organised by DPSE deptt. Students create intricate designs on the floor using materials like colored powders, flowers, or rice to showcase creativity, teamwork, and artistic skills. Students’ creativity, design, color combination, and adherence to a specific theme was judge. This traditional art is a way to express imagination, promote positivity, and welcome good luck.Results are as under:-

16. Blood Donation Camp on 4oct 25- The camps serve to spread awareness about blood donation's life-saving impact and foster a sense of community spirit, with volunteers often enjoying refreshments and expressing gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to such a noble cause. Ms Deepika and Ms. Pawanjot give their contribution in this noble cause.  
 


17. Mahendi Competition on 9oct 25- Students apply intricate henna designs on hands, judged on creativity, neatness, and overall presentation. The event was themed (e.g., traditional, floral, or bridal) and usually has a time limit, with participants using their own materials. The competition serves to celebrate cultural traditions and provide an outlet for artistic expression, promoting a student's all-round development.

18. Toran Making Competition -Toran making competitionheld on 14 oct 2025 is a cultural and creative event where students design and create decorative door hangings (torans) using various materials, celebrating festive traditions like Diwali. These competitions encourage artistic expression, creativity, and cultural appreciation while fostering skills like fine motor development and teamwork, often using a mix of traditional and eco-friendly materials.

19. Card Making Competition- Card-making competition held on 13 oct 2025 is a creative event where students design and make greeting cards based on specific themes, like festivals, gratitude, or specific occasions. Students use various materials like paper, paint, glitter, and stickers to express their creativity and are judged on criteria such as originality, design, neatness, and relevance to the theme. This activity helps develop artistic talent, fine motor skills, and presentation techniques.

20.Diwali Celeberation-Diwali celebrations are festive, incorporating decorations, cultural performances, and hands-on activities to symbolize the triumph of light over darkness. Common activities include decorating the school with rangolis and diyas, students dressing in traditional attire, and cultural programs like songs and dances that highlight the festival's meaning and traditions. Principal Ms. Anuja Sharma also emphasize on eco-friendly practices and charity. 


21. Prayas Activity- This is an event where students prepare and sell a variety of dishes, commonly from different cultures, to raise money and foster community spirit. It's a way for students to showcase culinary talents, learn about event management and teamwork, and for the school community to celebrate diversity through food. These events include themed stalls, cultural presentations, and other activities like music and games. This two days event provides practical lessons in teamwork, responsibility, and balancing work with fun. It brings students, parents, and teachers together to celebrate and appreciate diverse culinary traditions. Students prepare Happy meals, Cakes, Vegetable Pasta, Vegetable Burgers, Muffins etc. Students also put up stalls of candles, Diyas, Lanterns, Toran, Paintings, Flowers, Earrings, Embroided hankies etc.

24. Trip to Solan- DPSE Students were taken to Solan for one day Trip on 29 November 25.  Where they visited Mohan Shakti Temple, Riva Water Fall, Jatoli Tallest Shiv Temple, Kali Ka Tibba.



   
 
25. Celebration of Christmas- Christmas is a joyful festival celebrated on 25th December to mark the birth of Jesus Christ. It is celebrated with great happiness and enthusiasm. DPSE students prepare Happy meals and distribute gifts to classes LKG to 2nd. Students also display their hand crafted materials in a stall.


 
26.Celebration of Lohri- Lohri is a popular harvest festival celebrated mainly in Punjab and North India. It is usually celebrated on 13th January every year and marks the end of winter and the arrival of longer days. On this day DPSE students, teachers and Principal mam  gather around a bonfire, sing folk songs, and perform dances. Peanuts, popcorn, revri, and sesame seeds are thrown into the fire as a mark of gratitude to nature.


27. Basant Panchami-  Saraswati Puja was  performed by Principal Mam and teachers, followed by cultural activities like prayers, bhajans, poems, music, dance, and kite flying. Sweets made of saffron or yellow color, such as kesar halwa and boondi laddoo, are distributed as prasad.


27. Republic Day Celebrations- Republic Day was celebrated  on 26th January to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1950. It is one of the most important national festivals of India and symbolizes justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. Principal mam hoisted the National Flag in schools, followed by the National Anthem. Cultural programmes such as patriotic songs, dances, speeches, skits, and parades was presented by students. Children dress up as freedom fighters and national leaders to pay tribute to their sacrifices.

                                                             
28. First Aid workshop-A First Aid Workshop was organized to create awareness about immediate care and safety during emergencies. The workshop aimed to equip students and teachers with basic first aid knowledge and skills that can help save lives and prevent injuries from becoming serious. During the workshop, participants were trained to handle common emergencies such as cuts, burns, nosebleeds, fractures, fainting, choking, and minor wounds. The resource person Dr. Neha explained the importance of staying calm, assessing the situation, and providing timely help until medical assistance arrives. Practical demonstrations were given on bandaging, CPR basics, and the use of a first aid kit.The session was interactive and informative, allowing participants to ask questions and practice first aid techniques. It helped build confidence, responsibility, and awareness among students.


29. Shobha Yatra on 15 Feb 2026-DAV organized a grand and disciplined Shobha Yatra with the aim of spreading the teachings and ideals of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. The procession was taken out with great enthusiasm and devotion. Students, teachers, and members of the DAV family participated actively, dressed neatly and carrying banners, placards, and flags highlighting the messages of truth, righteousness, and social reform.
The Shobha Yatra echoed with patriotic and spiritual slogans based on Swami Dayanand Ji’s principles such as “Back to the Vedas,” moral values, and national unity. The disciplined march attracted the attention of the public and created awareness about his contributions to society, education, and Indian culture. The event successfully conveyed a message of values, character-building, and social upliftment, leaving a positive impact on the community.


 
30. Healthy tiffin workshop- The workshop includes live demonstrations where simple, quick, and healthy recipes are prepared. Participants learn how to make attractive and child-friendly tiffin items such as vegetable sandwiches, fruit salads, sprouts chaat, parathas, and nutritious snacks. Tips are also shared on food hygiene, proper storage, and maintaining cleanliness while preparing meals.Interactive activities like menu planning, group discussions, and sharing of ideas make the session more engaging.


31. Brahma Kumaris organized a meaningful and inspiring function to encourage students and promote values of excellence and self-confidence. The program began with a warm welcome, followed by a graceful dance performance by the students. The dance reflected creativity, discipline, and enthusiasm, and was appreciated by everyone present.
After the cultural performance, Brahma Kumaris honored the meritorious students for their outstanding achievements in academics and overall development. The students were felicitated with certificates and words of appreciation, which motivated them to continue striving for excellence. The function concluded on a positive note, spreading a message of hard work, values, and inner strength, and left a lasting impression on all participants.


 
32. Visit to Deaf and Dumb School- DPSE students went to Vatika  School. They see the methods of teaching to Deaf and Dumb children. They interact with teachers and students there.


     
33. Rally-DPSE Students take out a rally on social evils. It is an awareness activity organized to educate people about harmful practices in society and to encourage positive change. Social evils such as child labour, dowry system, gender discrimination, illiteracy, substance abuse, and domestic violence negatively affect individuals and the community.
In this rally, students, teachers, and community members participate by marching together in public places like streets, markets, or villages. Participants carry placards, banners, and posters with powerful messages and slogans such as “Say No to Dowry,” “Stop Child Labour,” and “Education for All.” They also raise slogans, distribute pamphlets, and sometimes perform street plays to spread awareness


34. ICT Training- ICT (Information and Communication Technology) training classes are designed to equip learners with essential digital skills required in today’s technology-driven world. These classes focus on developing the ability to use computers, digital devices, and online platforms effectively for learning, teaching, and communication.
During ICT training classes, learners are introduced to basic computer operations such as starting and shutting down a computer, using input and output devices, and managing files and folders. They are also trained in using common software applications like word processors, spreadsheets, and presentation tools to create documents, reports, and presentations.


35- Annual Function- The Annual Function held on 20 March 26 is one of the most significant and eagerly awaited events of an educational institution. It is a grand celebration that showcases the talents, achievements, and cultural richness of students while reflecting the holistic development promoted by the institution. Star achievers of DPSE and students excel in co-curricular activities were given awards by Mayor of Chandigarh and chairman of DAV-15, Chd.


36. Farewell party- A farewell party is a special occasion filled with mixed emotions, marking the end of a beautiful journey and the beginning of new opportunities. The farewell party for DPSE students was organized on 10 March 26 with great enthusiasm and warmth to bid them a heartfelt goodbye.
The program commenced with a warm welcome to the respected Chief Ms. Usha Jeevan ji and Principal Ms. Anuja Sharma, faculty members, and the outgoing DPSE students. The juniors presented a variety of cultural performances, including dance, songs, which added joy and excitement to the atmosphere. Fun games and title distribution were also organized, making the event lively and engaging. Each DPSE student was honored with unique and thoughtful titles that reflected their personality and contribution.
Emotional speeches were delivered by Chief guest and principal mam to expressing gratitude, appreciation, and best wishes for the outgoing students. In return, the DPSE students shared their experiences, cherished memories, and heartfelt thanks to their mentors and friends for their constant support and guidance.
The highlight of the event was Crown ceremony.

The farewell party was not just a goodbye, but a celebration of achievements, friendships, and the bright future that awaits the DPSE students.

      


Planner for year 2024-25

1. Havan- New session is begin with Havan. Dpse students perform Havan and sing bhajan. Prasad was distributed among students.


  
2. Pidilite workshop-Pidilte workshop was taken by Ms. Neha. Students learn how to do colouring, Fabeic painting, Kalamkari work.


  
3. Story telling competition- Story telling competition was held on 1st August. Students narrate moral stories with the help of stick puppets, gloves puppets and hand puppets.


    
4.Rakhi Making Competition- It was held on 14 august. Students prepare beautiful Rakhies with stones, dori, mirror, thread. They also decorate thalies too.


5. Celebration of Independence Day- Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August with great fervour and enthusiasm. Students remember selfless sacrifice and unparalleled contribution of great leaders. Patriotic songs, dances and poems were recited by students.


   
6. Celebration of Teej Festival- The festivals celebrated the bounty of nature, arrival of clouds and rain, greenery and birds with social activity, rituals and customs. The festival is celebrated, which  include dancing, singing, getting together with friends and telling stories, dressing up with henna-coloured hands, wearing red, green or orange clothes, sharing festive foods.


   
7. JanamAshatmi- Janmashtami celebrated on 23Aug 2024 on birth  of the God Krishna on the eighth day of the dark fortnight of the month of Bhadrapada. Principal Madam Anuja Sharma tell the story of lord Krishna and DPSE students perform dances.



8. Fresher’s Party- Fresher’s party was organised on 26 August to welcome new students. Students participate in talent hunt in which they perform dances, sang songs, acting and ramp walk.

9. Teacher’s Day – Teacher’s day was celebrated on 5th September. Students do mimicry, sing songs and cut cake with teachers. They also prepare teacher’s day cards.


      
10. Resource person- Lecturer by Mr. Gurvinder was given on Brain Plasticity and Brain Anatomy 20th September 24.Ms. Shalini demonstrated story telling and Poem Recitation. Ms. Anjuli take lecturer on Phonetics and phonic sounds.


          
11. Fevicril Workshop-An Art and craft workshop by Fevicril was held.Resource person give domonstration on Fabric painting and glass painting.

12. Dusehra Celebration- Dusehra was ceeeelebrated on 9-10-24. The story of  lord Rama was Dramatize.



13.Lecturer on Mental Stress and Anxiety-A lecturer on Mental Stress and Anxiety was given by Ms. Ayesha  On 10th october24. She discuss the reasons of anxiety and stress in adolescents in modern times and how to recover from that.


       
14. Lecturer on Cyber Crime- A lecture on cyber crime on 12 Oct 24 was given by Mr.R.J.Ramesh . He discuss the facts  and how to take care to prevent the cyber crime from our community.

15. Visit to Blind School-DPSE students have visited Blind School, Sector-26, Chd on 15 october 24. They observe teaching methodology for blind students. Students take guidance from special teachers and observes study by Braille.

16. Blood donation Camp-Blood Donation camp was held in DAV-15,Chd. Ms. Deepika and Shagun donated blood.

17. Mahendi, Card Making,Toran Making and Rangoli Competition- Mahendi, Card Making,Toran Making and Rangoli Competition was organise on 18 and 19 october 24.

18.Exhibition on 26th and 27th October 2024- Innovative teaching and Learning material of all subjects was displaced.

19. Diwali Celebration- Diwali was celebrated on 29th Oct 24. Principal ask students to take pledge for no to crackers. Students sing songs, Poetry etc.


20. Bhajan Prabhat- Bhajan singing is tradition of Arya Samaj. DPSE students perform bhajan on this occasion dated 28 Dec24.



21. Lohri Celebration-On 13 Jan 25 Lohri was celebrated with great enthusiasm, involving the teachers, school’s administrative staff and supporting staff in the festivities. The Principal ,Mrs Anuja Sharma congratulated all on the auspicious function. The celebrations began with the pooja, making the occasion memorable by engaging in various fun loving activities- singing, and dances.



22. Repubic Day celebration- Republic day was celebrated to remember the day of making constitution of India. Students perform patriotic dance. Principal salute March pass and Unfurl Flag and remember the day, when our constitution was made by Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar.

23. Shobha Yatra- Shoba Yatra to celebrate the Swami Dayanand Jayanti was organised on 7Feb 2025. DPSE students participate in it. It was started from DAV -7,Chd and ended in Arya Samaj,Sec-16, Chd.

24. Cooking Practical- Snacks for Healthy tiffins for children were prepared. Demonstration of Dhokla, Cakes, Idlies, Vada, Munchurian was given to students.

25. Trip to Rishikesh- Students were taken for a Trip to Rishikesh. Where they enjoy river rafting and sight seen. They take a holy dip in River Ganga and visit to other temples. In evening they saw Sandhya Arti too.

26. Students received best performance awards on 25 March 2025- Best performance awards in different fields are given to students.

27. Sports Day- Sports day was celebrated on 5th of April. Students participated in Lemon Race, Sack Race, Chatti Race, Three legged Race, Skipping, Hurddle Race, Musical Chair, Kho kho and Tug of war.
