In order to provide practical class room experience to the students, teaching practice is organized twice for 30 days each, in the duration of the two year course. During the course of teaching practice students of Ist year are trained to teach classes Nursery and K.G. while those of IInd year are trained to teach classes-I & II. They are taught how to prepare aids, to organize cultural function, sports days and to arrange talks with parents regarding health & nutrition of their children.

Every year the teacher trainees under go teaching practice for 30 days in various reputed private and govt. schools of Chandigarh. Names of some of the schools are :- Ashiana Public School, Shivalik Public School, GMSSS-35,16,22,23,24, Chd., ASKIPS, Strawberry field School, Carmel Convent, Ankur, Chitkara, Chatanya etc.

Computer Classes are regularly held for D.P.S.E. students to keep them abreast with advancements in educational technology. Computer classes imparting the basic knowledge about computers are conducted regularly which include knowledge about basic desktop packages viz., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as knowledge about using internet, emailing, viruses etc.

Regular computer classes are organized for the teacher trainees in order to familiarize them with the use of internet ( e-mail, google search etc) and use of powerpoint for presentation of lessons on LCD.
